The designer Paula Saavedra was born in Cali, Colombia in 1979. Growing up with the influence of her Latin American roots, Paula was always interested and involved in design. From drawing to painting, she was always fascinated by the creative process but above all creative outlets; Paula was captivated with her love for fashion.
She went off to study at Emerson College in Boston, where she received her degree in advertising and marketing. After graduating, she went to work at McCannErickson Miami, in the creative department. A few years later of working in advertising, she began to identify the need for a high-end, chic, yet wearable swimwear line.
In 2004 together with a friend, Paula set out to realize her dream as she soon discovered that fashion was her true calling. Caffe Swimwear was launched in august 2004 and since its launch, has achieved almost instant success. Two years later, she bought her partner's participation and became the only owner of Caffe, giving designs her own vision and beliefs of quality and luxury; a true reflection of Paula's overall exquisite lifestyle.
Paula strives to develop swimwear that is chic, sophisticated and stylish, yet at the same time wearable. Her designs come from the simple belief that mostly all women just like her, look and feel confident and sexy when their swimwear is comfortable.
